Brian Ray

Brian Ray is no stranger to the building and developing business. He is a 4th generation Real Estate Developer and at the age of 40 he has already been in the business for 22 years.

Brian began building in Birmingham just out of high school. Working alongside his dad and grandfather, Brian quickly caught on to the “ins and outs” of the business. In 1988 Brian convinced his dad to co-sign for an equipment loan to purchase a Bobcat. Very quickly this company grew into a profitable endeavor with five pieces of equipment and four dump trucks doing both commercial and residential work. Through the early 90’s, this company grew into several divisions consisting of excavation, construction, management and paving with 16 employees.

In 1996 Brian had an opportunity to build a couple of homes in the Willow Point subdivision on Lake Martin. It was at that time that Brian fell in love with the lake and knew that Lake Martin was full of opportunities.

In 2004, Brian shifted his focus to the Lake Martin area. He downsized his Birmingham operation and now focuses on his development here at The Village. Together with his business partners (Gray Murray, Fred Wedell and Eric McClain), Brian operates:

Brian has been married to his elementary school sweet heart, Amanda, for the past 19 years. Brian and Amanda have two beautiful children, Stone (12) and Sawyer (10). Brian and his family are currently residing in Birmingham but plan to make Lake Martin their new address in June.
